Home to 19 public courses and many award-winning private courses, the Tulsa area is a golf mecca for amateurs and professionals alike. LPGA stars and fans return to Cedar Ridge Country Club for the seventh annual SemGroup Championship. And the U.S. Amateur returns to Southern Hills for a second U.S. Men's Amateur championship in August 2009. Tulsa's famed Southern Hills Country Club, with its Perry Maxwell-designed championship golf course, is among the premier clubs in the nation. It has been home to 14 major golf championships.
