| 28 : | Lawn Establishment & Maintenance [+]Date : September 16, 2010Time : 6:30 pm to 9:00 pm Location : Tulsa Garden Center Web : http://www.tulsagardencenter.com Tulsa Garden Center Director of Horticulture, Barry Fugatt, will present an interactive seminar on lawn care entitled Lawn Establishment and Maintenance on September 16 from 6:30-9:00 p.m. at Tulsa Garden Center. Having a beautiful lawn is both a goal and a source of consternation for many homeowners. Others have given up, thinking a great lawn is too labor intensive and expensive to achieve. However, planting and caring for a healthy lawn can be much easier and less expensive than you may think and early fall is an excellent time to begin making a gorgeous new lawn a reality. A beautiful lawn is all about selecting the best grass for your particular location. Some grasses are shade tolerant, others are not. Some are highly heat and drought tolerant, others are not. Some require lots of fertilizer, while others require very little. This seminar takes the mystery out of lawn care by teaching homeowners how to select the perfect turf grass, as well as, planting techniques, fertility, lawn renovation and weed, disease and insect control. Advance registration is required and space is limited. Cost for the session is $15 for Tulsa Garden Center members and $20 for non-members. Registration fee is non-refundable.
